Just in!! The scripted series The Breaks season 2 comes back next year—on BET! Tvseriesfinale.com spilled the beans about the show transitioning to the network.  What a surprise right! Well not really. The movie premiered on January 1st 2016- New Years! It drew 2.6 million viewers to their undivided attention, recorded by forbes.com. The movie was based on 90s hip-hop branching off to controversial topics.

The main characters: Nikki Jones (Afton Williamson) – a brilliant and unreasonable woman from Washington D.C. came to New York City to pursue an assistant job, working for the infamous Barry Fouray (Wood Harris), alongside boyfriend David Aaron (David Call), a disc jockey and her producer best friend Dee-vee (Mack Wilds) ride along to promote awareness of hip-hop. The film brings focus of Dee-vee signing Ahm (Antoine Harris), a notorious gangster from NYC despite the disagreement from his father Darryl Van Putten, played by Method Man. The Breaks became a series on February 20, 2017. The series was successful. It brought new characters: Female rapper Imani X (Tenaya Taylor) and news journalist Damita (Melonie Diaz).

This is genius, can’t wait to see the new season. Great pickup BET!

The Breaks Season 2 premieres next year but get caught up with Season 1 and the film now on Vh1.com.
