The Bronx has been synonymous with music since Hip-Hop’s creation some 40 years ago and since, it’s knack for pushing out musicians with global appeal hasn’t changed. Currently, there are four artists from The Bronx with songs sitting on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

Romeo Santos “Imatidora”

The former lead singer of Aventura’s single “Imatidora” has been rising the charts since its release in June and is currently sitting at #91. It is the second single off his third studio album as a solo artist, Golden, currently being promoted by a giant billboard in the Port Morris section of the Bronx. 

A-Boogie wit Da Hoodie “Drowning”


A-Boogie’s career trajectory is doing the opposite of Drowning, the title of his song sitting at #48 on the music charts. It features controversial but also emerging rapper Kodak Black, and it’s success just adds itself to the list of accomplishments A-Boogie has achieved so far this year. In June, he was named one of XXL’s Freshman 10 and was brought out on stage at Madison Square Garden by the biggest star in hip-hop, Drake.

Cardi B “Bodak Yellow”


When people first met Cardi B through uncensored and raw Instagram videos, they didn’t imagine they would lead her to a primetime slot on television with the VH1 show, “Love & Hip Hop”. which would lead to her launching a rap career spawning one of the hottest songs of summer. Her single “Bodak Yellow” is sitting at #28 on the charts, and its popularity is increasing fast. She is already being considered one of music the hottest female rappers in the game and the recent video of Nicki Minaj dancing to it may have solidified that.

French Montana “Unforgettable”

French Montana’s “Unforgettable” is proof that for a summer hit, all you need is an infectious hook that’s as unforgettable as the title of the song.Accompanied by Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee, the Moroccan -imported Bronxite produced an intoxicating hit that’s simple, fun, yet complex and is sitting at #6 on the charts. Its peak was a spot at #3 with expectations of continued growth.
